“Extra-Ordinary” Summer Challenge

During the summer months, it’s easy to transition from the busy-ness of the school year to the busy-ness of summertime fun. Staying engaged spiritually requires intention. To help families keep their faith at the forefront while creating extraordinary moments together, we invite you to join us in the “Extra-Ordinary” Summer Challenge!

The “Extra-Ordinary” Summer Challenge provides twenty-four unique ideas and suggestions for families to develop their faith together while having a whole lot of fun! Pick up a copy of the “Extra-Ordinary” Summer Challenge in the KXP area at your campus beginning Sunday, May 28 or download a FREE digital copy by clicking the button. At the end of summer, kids will have the opportunity to exchange completed challenge cards for a special prize!

JUNE 1 // LEVEL UP

On Thursday, June 1, rising 7th & 8th-graders will travel to Harvest Ministries located in Columbia, MS for Level Up, a new one-day event created to encourage young students in their faith journey. The cost to participate in Level up is only $40 and includes transportation, activities, and all meals. Registration is open through Sunday, May 28.

JUNE 4 // CAMPFIRE

Campfire, a special worship experience for 3rd-5th grade, will meet on Sunday, June 4 during regular worship experience times at The Lincoln Road and Hunt Club Campuses. Campfire is a time of worship, teaching, and small group time specifically designed for older elementary children.

JUNE 4 // THE MVMNT

The MVMNT is an opportunity for 6th-12th grade students to hang out, eat, play games, and develop their faith. The MVMNT will happen twice this summer across all Venture Church Campuses including on Sunday, June 4 at 5:30 p.m. Check with your campus for more details.

JUNE 11-16 // STUDENT MISSION TRIP
Sunday, June 11 - Friday, June 16, rising 9th - graduated 12th graders will travel to Arlington, TX for a Venture Students summer Mission Trip. This is an incredible opportunity for students to engage in hands-on mission work alongside Mission Arlington while learning more about the unique gifts God has given them to lead others to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ.

JUNE 18 // FATHER’S DAY AT VENTURE

Whether it’s a dad joke or a joke about dad, they have a reputation for rolling with the punches. And, while they often make us laugh, we also know that the responsibility Dad carries is equally as important as it is hard. This year, join us on Sunday, June 18 for Father’s Day at Venture as we strive to ensure every dad feels honored, appreciated, and encouraged.

JUNE 25 // THE MVMNT

The MVMNT is an opportunity for 6th-12th grade students to hang out, eat, play games, and develop their faith. The MVMNT will happen twice this summer across all Venture Church Campuses including on Sunday, June 25 at 5:30 p.m. Check with your campus for more details.

JUNE 28 // 5th GRADE FAREWELL

Rising 6th-graders are invited to a send-off celebration with their KXP leaders on Wednesday, June 28. While students are enjoying their last event as an official KXP kid, parents are invited to join the Student Ministry Team to learn more about their child’s transition into the Venture Students ministry.

JULY 2 // KXP YEAR-END CELEBRATION

Before KXP’s Scouts and Navigators take a short summer break, all Kindergarten through 5th graders are invited to a Year-end Celebration on Sunday, July 2 during regular worship experience times at the campus you attend. For additional details, check with your KXP leader.

JULY 9, 16, 23 // AT THE MOVIES

Interested in the most affordable, fun, and uplifting family outing of the summer?

Join us Sunday, July 9, 16, & 23 for At The Movies: Summer Blockbuster Edition! Each 60-minute movie experience will feature a different family-favorite film repackaged with a Biblically-based message to encourage a deeper faith. The movies are FREE. Concessions begin at $1.

JULY 12-15 // CAMP VENTURE

Camp Venture is a church-wide outreach initiative designed to make an impact in the lives of our hometown neighbors, pointing them toward God and connecting them with the Church. Wednesday, July 12 - Friday, July 14, teams of Venture volunteers will go into local neighborhoods to host an outdoor kids experience with team games, hands-on activities, and Bible teaching.. On Saturday, July 15, all Camp Venture participants are invited to a fun-filled Family Night hosted at the Venture Church Campus in their area. Please check with your campus for specific dates and details.

JULY 15 // FAMILY NIGHT

Camp Venture will conclude with a fun-filled Family Night across Venture’s five campuses on Saturday, July 15 at 6:00 p.m.! In addition to food, games, and kid-friendly activities, Family Night will including a FREE 60-minute movie experience featuring one of Venture’s At The Movies blockbuster selections! The movie is repackaged with an encouraging and practical life-application message based on Biblical truth. Concessions will be available starting at $1.

JULY 22 // IMPACT SUMMIT

On Saturday, July 22, Impact Team members are invited to join us at The Lincoln Road Campus for a special time of teaching, development, and equipping. The day will consist of encouraging large group gatherings, breakout sessions focused on discipleship and ministry-area development, and opportunities to engage with others who serve at Venture Church. JULY 29 // PROJECT GENESIS

For rising 6th grade students only, Project Genesis is happening on Saturday, July 29 at Harvest Ministries in Columbia, MS. This one-day event is designed to introduce and welcome 6th graders into Venture Students (6th-12th grade student ministry), and help them build relationships with student leaders. The cost to participate is only $40 and includes transportation, activities, a t-shirt, and all meals.

JULY 30 // KXP MOVING DAY

KXP (Kids Experience) Moving Day for birth - 5th grade kids is happening on Sunday, July 30 across all Venture Church campuses! Moving Day simply means your child, along with their friends, will graduate to a new classroom based on their birthdate and age. Be sure to check your child’s check-in label on Moving Day to see what their new room assignment is.

JULY 30 // THE MVMNT LAUNCH

The MVMNT returns to its regular fall programming schedule across Venture’s five campuses on Sunday, July 30. The MVMNT meets weekly at 5:30 p.m. and is an opportunity for 6th-12th grade students to hang out, eat, play games, and develop their faith.
