Gather your family or your friends who are more like family and join us for “At The Movies: The Elf Experience,” the most festive and affordable memory-making holiday experience in town!
Happening Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18, “At The Movies: The Elf Experience” will feature a free showing of a family-favorite holiday film PLUS a sing-a-long, holiday concessions, a complimentary hot chocolate bar, and surprise activities for the kids! In addition to guaranteed fun and laughter, the film will be used to deliver an encouraging message based on impactful, relevant, and easy-to-understand Biblical truths.
Selected with the entire family in mind, the feature film will be edited for length and content and shown during each of Venture’s 60-minute worship experiences.
WHAT IS AT THE MOVIES?
“At the Movies: The Elf Experience” is a unique experience designed to create a fun outing for the entire family and featuring a blockbuster holiday film that is used to illustrate life-changing Biblical truths.
If you are joining us on a campus, you may want to arrive a little early to take advantage of the full experience. Be sure to visit the Coffee Bar for $1 movie popcorn, an assortment of holiday concessions, and free hot chocolate before heading into the auditorium to take a seat. When the lights go down, you’ll enjoy an hour-long edited version of the feature film with a message incorporated to encourage you in your faith journey.
To ensure you see as much of the film as possible during our 60-minute worship experiences, our worship team will take a break on December 17 & 18, but they’ll return on Saturday, December 24 for a very special Christmas Eve experience.
Since it began, “At the Movies” has become one of the biggest invite opportunities during the year. How easy is it to invite someone to church to watch a free holiday movie where they’ll leave uplifted and encouraged? So whether this will be your first time to join us “At the Movies,” or you’ve never missed it before, invite a friend, and we can’t wait to see you “At the Movies!”
WHAT DO I WEAR?
If you are a first-time guests, you are probably wondering what to wear. You'll see everything from super-casual to work uniforms to holiday attire. So, come as comfortable or as festive as you like. At Venture, all are welcomed, and the only dress code is to wear what makes you comfortable!
Also, all first-time guests who stop by the blue tent in the atrium, receive a free 36 oz. water bottle filled with extra goodies!
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
Here is what you need to know about your child's age group:
Backyard Buddies (birth - PreK) will offer regular programming during “At the Movies” experiences on Sunday, December 18 ONLY.
Scouts (K - 3rd Grade) and Navigators (4th - 5th Grade) will NOT offer programming on Saturday, December 17 or Sunday, December 18. The “At The Movies: Elf Experience” has been designed with kids in mind, and the movie carefully selected for the entire family. The movie is edited for length and content.
