Summertime is officially here! JUNE
JUNE 8-12 - STUDENT MISSION TRIP
The Venture Students Mission Trip is an incredible opportunity designed for high school students, 9th-12th graders, to have an unforgettable experience that also grows their faith this summer! During Wednesday, June 8 - Sunday, June 12, Venture Students will partner with The Gulf Coast Campus to meet the needs of hundreds throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast through hands-on mission work. JUNE 19-24 - LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR
Love Your Neighbor is an initiative focused on making an impact on the lives of other people by serving them with a Jesus-like love. This summer, Love Your Neighbor Week is happening June 19-25. During Love Your Neighbor Week, each Venture Church Campus will go out into their communities to meet a variety of needs. JUNE 22 - FAMILY NIGHT
The Lincoln Road, Hunt Club, Stone County, and Jones County Campuses will each host an evening of food, games, and fun to celebrate families during Love Your Neighbor Week. Grab the family next door and join us for a summer evening of laid-back fun and community! Each campus’s Family Night will look a little different so check your Campus Facebook Group for location, times, and additional details.

JULY 10, 17, & 24 - AT THE MOVIES
At The Movies is returning to Venture's summer schedule during the month of July! Join us July 10, 17, & 24 to relive scenes from three block-buster films as our pastors draw out Biblical truth that can be applied to the challenges of everyday life. Each film is selected with the entire family in mind and edited for length and content. The movies are FREE and the popcorn, candy, and sodas are only $1. Stay tuned for details, and mark your calendar to take advantage of the best deal in town!
JULY 23 - TEAM NIGHT
On Saturday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m., area sports teams including youth to college teams are invited to a FREE movie night including concessions and special activities! Team Night is happening across ALL Venture Church campuses and will feature a critically acclaimed blockbuster film about the true story of a 1971 football team who conquered great triumphs both on and off the field!
JULY 30 - IMPACT SUMMIT
On Saturday, July 30, Impact Team Leaders will gather at The Hunt Club Campus for the inaugural Impact Summit! The Impact Summit will be a special time of worship and training with the goal of equipping volunteer leaders to disciple those they lead while also learning how to cultivate new leaders. The day will consist of large group gatherings and breakout sessions where participants will dive deeper into discipleship topics they choose. This is an invitation-only event, but anyone who is ready to partner with Venture to lead others to know, love, and follow Jesus are encouraged to serve on an Impact Team. JULY 31 - KXP MOVING DAY
On Sunday, July 31 across all Venture Church campuses, is KXP (Kids Experience) Moving Day for birth - 5th grade kids! Moving Day simply means your child, along with their friends, will graduate to a new classroom based on their birthdate and age. Be sure to check your child’s check-in label on Moving Day to see what their new room assignment is.
JULY 31 - THE MVMNT LAUNCH
The Movement is a weekly connection point on Sunday nights for all Venture Students (6th-12th grade). This fall, The MVMNT will launch at ALL Venture Church campuses on Sunday, July 31 at 5:30 p.m. The MVMNT consists of passionate worship, relevant teaching, and time spent in student MVMNT Groups. MVMNT Groups provide a safe place for students to understand and apply God’s word. These groups are gender and age-specific small groups led by gifted leaders with a passion for investing in students.
AUGUST
AUGUST 5-6 - MVMNT WKND
Movement Weekend is a two-day retreat created for middle school students, 6th-8th graders, to deepen their relationship with God while building community with leaders and other students. Through large group sessions, students will experience passionate worship combined with relevant teaching, as well as an opportunity to dive deeper into their faith during small-group sessions with other students of the same age and gender - all while having a ton of fun! MVMNT WKND will take place Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6 at Waukaway Springs (located about 10 miles northeast of Laurel). AUGUST 10 - HOUSE CHURCH LAUNCH
House Churches are a diverse gathering of people who come together for the purpose of building a trusted community of faith as modeled by the early church in the New Testament. House Churches meet across south Mississippi weekly on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., with the exception of a designated rest week once every month, to share a meal, pray, and dig deeper into scripture together. We encourage you to find the House Church in closest proximity to where you live and try it first. Once you find the right fit, make a commitment and begin investing in community.
